Meru Women’s Cooperative Celebrates 12th Anniversary
The cooperative was started in 2007 with a seed grant from Little Portion Friary written by Shoreham Wading River High School students.There are now 29 members of the group.The group is lead by Nancy Kirote/Mama Arica.

Special Delivery
The books have arrived! The Global Club at Shoreham Wading River High School on Long Island sent a shipping container of books to the Jerusha Mwiraria Hope Children’s Home last year. They were recently distributed to local Primary Schools.

World Orphan Fund Grant
Hope Children’s Fund received a grant from World Orphan Fund after a visit from Steve Donovan of WOF. The grant is divided into four stages. What follows are photos from phases 1 and 2. We are very thankful for the support. The home has running water again for the first time in nine months!

Kenyan Crafts
Hope Children’s Fund sells Kenyan crafts at many venues around Long Island.We are very thankful for the continued support of Cathy and Mike DePasquale of Depamarkets as well as the support of Rich Rivkin of Long Island Music Festivals.
